Things to do in Cincinnati are plentiful this time of year — whether it's a fun indoor event where you get to chill out in A/C or an outdoor festival with plenty of icy drinks and popsicles. We've got our monthly list of events around Cincinnati with a few fun options further afield.

Applications for Crafty Supermarket’s 2013 holiday craft show are open until Sept. 1!
How to apply for our show
Crafty Supermarket is at the Music Hall Ballroom in downtown Cincinnati from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013. Please read our Crafter FAQ before you apply. Our show features handmade goods only — no commercial products.
In the online application, you’ll be asked to upload up to five images in JPG, GIF or PNG format. (The images should be at least 400×600 pixels but no bigger than 1 MB in size each.) Please name your files in this format:BusinessName1.jpg, BusinessName2.jpg, and so on.
There’s a nonrefundable application fee of $10. (You’ll be guided to pay via PayPal when you complete the application. If you need help, PayPal has tutorials on its website — click on the Send Money tab.) The vendor fee for our show is $110, but if you’re accepted, the application fee counts towards the table fee.
Two crafter businesses may apply to share a table — you only need to fill out one application together. Each crafter (or crafter group) will have an 8’x2.5′ table and two chairs. (If you prefer to bring your own setup, it must fit within that space.)
When you submit the application, you should receive a confirmation message and a confirmation email from us and be taken to PayPal to pay the application fee. If that doesn’t happen, your application might not have gone through—email us to check on it.
We will stop accepting applications at 11:59 p.m. Sept. 1. We’ll notify all crafter applicants of their acceptance status by Sept. 15. If you’re accepted, you’ll have until Oct. 1 to pay the remainder of the table fee — $100. If you don’t submit your table fee by Oct. 1, we’ll offer the space to another crafter who applied before the deadline. We cannot accept late applications.

Aaaaah I missed the deadline! Can I still apply?
We get way more applications for the show than we can accept, so we can’t allow any late applications out of fairness to crafters who applied before the deadline. If a spot opens up from a vendor being unable to attend the show, we select alternates from the people who applied before the deadline.

Fabricate and Crafty Supermarket are putting on an Etsy craft party from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 22! We’ll be getting crafty in Fabricate’s back patio (thanks to Cluxton Alley Coffee!). If you haven’t been to the shop in Northside before, you are missing out!
