local arts fairs seek vendors

A few opportunities for artisans in the Cincinnati area have popped up on our radar recently. Festival-type events coming up in Northside, Clifton and Over-the-Rhine are all looking for crafters and artists to sell their work.

(Note: We aren’t in charge of any of these events — we just heard about them and thought we’d share the call for artists!)

Go OTR Summer Celebration

Event date: Saturday, May 18

The fifth annual event in Over-the-Rhine moves to Washington Park this year to team up with the City Flea. The festival will have room for 20 to 30 fine art and craft vendors; booths are $50, and applications are due April 20. Download the application here!

Washington Park’s Farmers Market

Event dates: Mondays from June 3 to August 26

The Washington Park’s Farmers Market will run on Mondays between 4 and 8 p.m. from June 3 through August 26. Interested vendors are encouraged to visit www.washingtonpark.org for application details, event guidelines and selection criteria. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 26. All vendors will be notified of their acceptance by May 3.

Northside Art in the Park

Event date: Saturday, June 8, 2013

To register click here. To complete your application, send three images to artinthepark2005@gmail.com. Registration closes on Monday, May 6, at midnight. Everyone will be notified of acceptance by Sunday, May 12. If you are not accepted, your booth fee will be reimbursed.

Second Sundays on Main

Event dates: Sundays, June 9, July 14, August 11, Sept. 8, Oct. 13

Main Street hosts this fun street festival every Sunday in the summer. Vendors can sell at one sunday for $20 or for the whole season for $55! Click here for the application form.

CliftonFest

Event dates: Sept. 27, 28, and 29

Clifton’s big end-of-summer art and music block party will include 30 artisan booths as well as chalk drawings on the sidewalks of Ludlow Avenue. The committee is seeking participation from the finest arts and crafts talent in the region. Artisans can reserve 10×10-foot booths for $50. Reservations will be logged and dated as they come in; register early for a reserved space. Checks should be sent to Clifton Business and Professional Association (with “CliftonFest Artisan Booth” in memo line), 360 Resor Ave., Cincinnati, 45220-1616. Questions?
