Our spring show is coming up on April 25, but there are many other crafty things to do in Cincinnati this month as well!
You’ve been waiting to find out who’s going to be at our spring show, and we spent days going through the applications to select the 50 crafters. And finally you can see the vendor list here! Our spring crafters represent eight states, coming from as far away as New York and North Carolina, and more than a third of them are new to our show! Including Half Hazard Press, whose poster for OK Go is above, and Stephanie Raab, who made the cute gift tags below, jewelry maker tree trunk arts and ceramicist Meagan Martin:
Want to do more than just shop at our spring craft show? You can help us out as a volunteer or a sponsor!
Applications for the Crafty Supermarket spring craft show are now closed! We will let everyone who applied know about their acceptance status by March 15.
Accepted crafters will have until April 1 to pay their table fee. If you don’t pay your table fee by April 1, we’ll offer the space to another crafter who applied before the deadline.
We get more applications for the show than we can accept, so we can’t allow any late applications out of fairness to crafters who applied before the deadline. If a spot opens up from a vendor being unable to attend the show, we select alternates from the people who applied before the deadline.
If you want to apply to be in our next show, be sure to follow us here on the website, on Facebook or via our e-newsletter. We broadcast our upcoming opportunities in all those places! Applications for our holiday show on Nov. 28 will open in July.
Even though it doesn't feel that way now, spring is in the air, and it's time to get out of the house...

Crafty Supermarket is a magical event: Dozens of handmade vendors come from just a few minutes away or a few states away to show their best work to thousands of shoppers. To help us make the craft show the best it can be, we enlist volunteers and work with sponsors — and here’s how you can get involved:
At our spring show on April 25 at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center, we have a couple of opportunities for people to help out. (And when you assist us for a couple hours, you’ll get one of our famous swag bags!) Volunteers can choose to do any of the following things: help shoppers know where everything is, assist vendors who need a break, help load in at the beginning of the day or clean up at the end of the day. You can learn more and submit your info here. We’ll get back to you a few weeks before the show with the schedule. (Note that we sometimes get more volunteer applications than we can take, but we’ll get back to you either way!)
We work with all kinds of local organizations who love handmade and want to help spread the word. From arts nonprofits and landmark institutions to DIY shops and enterprises, if you support the maker movement, we’d love to work with you! Learn more about partnership opportunities here and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have an idea of how we can work together!
Want to sell at Crafty Supermarket? Applications for our 2015 spring craft show are open until March 1!
Wow, y’all. Yesterday was our fifth birthday and 11th craft show, and it was incredible to celebrate it with crafty friends new and old. If you were one of the many people who shopped with us yesterday, please take our shopper survey to let us know what you thought so we can keep the show as awesome as possible!
We hate to be hyperbolic like “best show ever!” but seriously — yesterday was our BEST SHOW EVER. Our wildest dreams came true: More than 5,000 shoppers game out to shop with our 90 vendors, a full thousand more than last year’s attendance. This is what the place looked like during the busiest part of the day:
Even this guy showed up:

Cincinnati Magazine stylist Tamia Stinson picked three vendors at the start of the show to win awards for Best Display, Best Products and Best Newbie.
Best Display: Marisol Spoon of Asheville, NC
Best Products: Oceanne of Cleveland, OH
Best Newbie: Pure Angora Knits of Cincinnati, OH
The sweet felt ribbons are creations from Abby Langdon. And the shoppers who attended the show voted for their favorite vendor to win the People’s Choice award. The big winner was Off the Beaten Path of Dayton, OH!
Big thanks go out to our sponsors, our trusty volunteers, our resident DJ Ben Davis, the incredible staff of Music Hall and all of you shoppers, of course. But especially all of the vendors who traveled from near and far to be with us.
Our spring show will be April 25 at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center. Vendor applications and all the details will be posted in January. For now we’re taking December off to relax and recover with our friends and families. See you in 2015! :)
